Keyser Residents Favor Fining Owners Of Vacant Buildings

June 4th, 2016 by WCBC Radio

Of the 94 Keyser water customers who responded to the survey question on May’s water bill, 72 indicated they would be in favor of a city ordinance fining property owners for vacant buildings. Twenty-two respondents opposed the idea. The City of Keyser placed the question on the water bills as an experiment to see if the mayor and council could get a better idea of how the public feels about the ordinance, which had originally been proposed by then-mayor Randy Amtower last year.
