Martin’s Food Market now offers delivery service

MARTIN’S Food Marketsis announcing the introduction of MARTIN’S DIRECT, Powered by Peapodat the MARTIN’S located at 739 Park Street in Cumberland and 12101 Winchester Road in La Vale, both in Allegany County. 

 

This new strategic e-commerce addition to the MARTIN’S family of brands provides same-day pickup service, where online orders are carefully selected within the store and delivered directly to customer vehicles pulled up outside.

 

“With this new service, our customers will have a more convenient and innovative way to shop,” said Henry Munch, store manager, Cumberland MARTIN’S. 

 

“MARTIN’S DIRECT will offer customers the same trusted value and quality they have come to expect from MARTIN’S, offered within a simple and easy to use technological experience,” said Dalene Bonham, store manager, La Vale MARTIN’S.

 

To place an order with MARTIN’S DIRECT, customers can use any device to visit the MARTIN’S Food Stores website, the Peapodwebsite, or the Peapod app, enter their zip code and begin shopping. Before checking out, they’ll be asked to select when they would like to pickup their order.

 

In January, the company debuted thenew brand in the city of Lancaster, Pa. with the opening of its new GIANT DIRECT e-commerce hub.

    The headline is a lie, Martins does not offer delivery service, they offer pickup service as stated repeatedly in the article. They will now shop for you. This is not desirable as the only way to avoid all the past-its-date inventory is to pick items yourself. Both stores have much past it inventory from milk, yogurt and chest to packaged mixes that should have dates months in the future. The concept of stock rotation seems foreign to both stores.
