June 15th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

WBAL reports a member of Governor Larry Hogan's recovery task force has reservations with the speed at which Hogan is allowing businesses to reopen and easing restrictions. Dr. Tom Inglesby, director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, said he worries allowing casinos to reopen or diners to sit inside will undo some of the work that has been done to counteract the spread of the coronavirus…

Given what we’re seeing in the southern ring of states and the southwest and west, I share this concern. Everything will go for naught.

Do you think the trumpers care?

It’s outright upsetting to go into PA or WV where almost
No one is wearing masks thanks to their republican governors kissing trump’s rump and making mask wearing and other measures a suggestion only.

If you don’t or others don’t wear a mask and everyone is infected the powers that be will come back to you and say that they made it plain that a mask was a good idea. You were the one who didn’t or you allowed yourself to be close to others who didn’t wear a mask.
They have protected themselves from liability either way.

Hate to rain on your stereotypical parade but Tom Wolf, the governor of Pennsylvania is a Democrat. Sorry now you will have to like what ever he does.

As long as the major concern of the politicians is ‘the economy’ rather than any concern for the health of the American public we will have to learn the same lesson over and over again.
Health officials know how the virus is spread and they recommend ways to reduce if not eliminate contagion.
Your elected officials, on the other hand, do not care about your health, they are answerable only to those that make the big campaign contributions and it is obvious in the disregard shown.

Some people are saying that the governor lifted the mask requirement in MD. Does anyone know if this is true? One paragraph in his recent order says they are required; the next one says the owner of a retail space “may” not require a mask for either the customers or the employees.

      > The mask may still be in effect yet we are now allowed to eat at restaurants indoors. The restaurants will not enforce social distancing and you can’t eat a meal while wearing a mask. The requirements vs. the allowed are mutually exclusive.
I will be conspicuous in my absence.
