MMT Makes $10K Contribution Towards Great Allegheny Passage Maintenance And Upgrades

Mountain Maryland Trails (MMT), a non-profit organization that was involved in the construction and development of the Allegany County portion of the Great Allegheny Passage, has made a $10,000 contribution toward various maintenance and upgrades.  $8,000 of that amount will be used to purchase a trailer for a new excavator to remove dirt; with the remainder being used to help purchase stone to fill in some of the washed out areas along the trail. The check was presented to the County Commissioners during the final county meeting of the year by MMT President Larry Brock.  This latest financial commitment is in addition to $5,000 provided earlier this year to help with landslides along the gap.  Brock said the organization is committed to insuring that the Passage reaches its full economic potential…
