Morriss, council members on board with Hogan’s COVID plan

August 6th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

The Cumberland Mayor and City Council approved a resolution this week supporting Governor Hogan’s efforts to control of prevent the spread of COVID-19. The hope among city officials is that the action, although largely symbolic, will provide additional incentive for residents to wear face covering, practice social distancing and adhere to all of the guidelines announced by the state.

Yes. Finally. A symbolic gesture from the Mayor and City Council. That will work much more effectively than some silly enforceable rule.
People seen without face coverings will be symbolically fined. Repeat offenses may be symbolically jailed.
