Morriss Urges Social Distancing Protocols During Fireworks Show

As a result of COVID-19  hundreds of towns and municipalities will not be holding fireworks displays this year- but that is not the case in Cumberland as the show will go on. The city’s Independence Day Fireworks at Constitution Park will proceed as planned on Saturday, July 4th commencing at approximately 9:30 p.m.  Leading up to the fireworks display, Constitution Park Pool will be open on July 4 from 11 am – 3 pm, with the park closing to the public at 4 pm. Mayor Ray Morriss tells WCBC News that the City recommends that social gatherings to watch the fireworks continue to follow current social distancing and group guidelines…

    Don’t forget to wear masks sheeple.Just remember that when you smell the fireworks with it on, it is still actively blocking a microscopic virus.
