On Tuesday, June 16th, 2020 the Cumberland Police Department responded to a Wineow Street business for the report an argument and a possible assault. When officers arrived, contact was made with a male and a female that had been involved in an altercation. Both parties had sustained injuries as a result of the altercation and the male, identified as Mark H. Cosner, was determined to be the aggressor. He was arrested and charged with 2nd degree assault and taken before the District Court Commissioner. Cosner was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center held without bond.
