On December 14th, 2020, The Cumberland City Police Department arrested Makayla Ann Gross, 31, of Cumberland MD. Gross was arrested on 2 outstanding warrants stemming from two separate incidents. The first, Gross failed to appear in District Court on January 16th, 2020 for a previous charge of theft $1500 – $25000. The second arrest warrant stemmed from an incident which occurred on June 28th, 2020. During this incident, Gross was alleged to have entered a Queen City Drive business and removed merchandise without paying. She was later located and provided officers with a false name. Gross was taken before the District Court Commissioner for her Initial Appearance where she was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. She is currently being held without bond.
