On 12/17/2020 the Cumberland City Police Department responded to the 300 block of Mountain View Drive for a subject attempting to break into a garage. Prior to officer’s arrival the subject fled the area but the complainant followed and provided a description. Officers located the suspect Calman Dennis McKenzie on Fayette Street. Mr. McKenzie was found to have stolen property on his person and was subsequently arrested. During the investigation officers learned that McKenzie entered several vehicles on Schley Street and adjoining streets. Mr. McKenzie was awaiting his initial appearance by a District Court Commissioner at the time of this writing.
Arrested – Calman Dennis McKenzie (25) Cumberland, MD
Charges – Attempted 4th Degree Burglary, Theft less than $1,500.00, Rogue and Vagabond, 11 counts of tampering with a motor vehicle, 11 counts of climbing into a vehicle with malicious intent
