School system monitoring Cornoavirus

February 29th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

The Allegany County Public School System will continue to monitor this situation in conjunction with the Allegany County Health Department and will follow all CDC guidance.  ACPS and the ACHD would like to remind everyone that  coronavirus has shown that it has the ability to infect anyone of any age, gender, race or nationality. Suspicion that a person of a particular nationality or ethnicity is more likely to be a source of community infection is untrue and unfair. These sorts of suspicions are not based on science and can lead to unsafe and traumatic experiences within the community.

It is not unfair, untrue or nonscientific to state that currently there are more Asians with documented coronavirus cases than any other ethnic group. Stop with the PC platitudes please.

Yes but the Asians who are infected are in Asia.

As Cumberland tends to have most of the woes of real cities though few of the benefits, one should expect a considerable problem here.
