Top Maryland Democrats are jockeying for the position of Speaker of the House of Delegates.
A special session to elect a new speaker will be held on May 1st. Among those vying for the position are the current acting speaker, Adrienne Jones of Baltimore County, and committee chairs Derrick Davis, of Prince George’s County, and Maggie McIntosh, of Baltimore City.
