Three NBCI inmates injured following Monday night incident

February 4th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

Three inmates from North Branch Correctional Institution in Cumberland went to the hospital last night after a fight at the maximum-security prison.  The injuries appear to be lacerations from homemade weapons, and none are life-threatening. Correctional officers broke up the fight quickly and were not injured. They recovered several homemade weapons. DPSCS detectives will be investigating the incident.

When will the DPSCS run NBCI the way it was intended?

NBCI is the only prison cutting/collapsing posts while already understaffed. One of my relatives works there. The decision falls on the suits in the Operations area. The ones not under risk of being assaulted. That is what happens when people with nothing more than a High School diploma are promoted and get to make decisions.

NBCI bows down to headquarters in Baltimore no matter how morally wrong the decision is. Safety doesn’t matter to them they are protected in an office. An officer will eventually be killed or a major riot. MD is a liberal joke with real lives in their hands
