Today is the last day to request a mail-in ballot in Maryland

October 20th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

It is deadline day. Time is running out for Marylanders to get a mail-in ballot to vote in the General Election on Nov. 3rd.  This year, the Maryland Board of Elections is encouraging voters to request a mail-in ballot, also known as an absentee ballot.

In order to vote by mail, you must request a mail-in ballot before the October 20th deadline.

The request can be made at a local election office by 8 p.m. and online until 11:59 p.m.

Once received, voters can mail the ballot back in a postage-paid return envelope, return it to their local election board, or drop it in a secure drop box that will be available statewide. Locations of those drop boxes can be found here.

You don't have to request a mail-in ballot if you intend to vote in person
