Trump coming to West Virginia

President Donald Trump plans a return visit to West Virginia for a rally and fundraiser. Trump is expected to be in Wheeling July 24 for a private fundraiser, as first reported by Wheeling’s Intelligencer newspaper. The event is being hosted by Bob Murray, president and CEO of Murray Energy, and is planned for 6 p.m. at WesBanco Arena. The fundraiser is not open to the public. Trump remains very popular in West Virginia. Morning Consult shows that his approval in West Virginia is 59 percent, with 39 percent disapproval. Trump defeated Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in West Virginia in 2016 with 67.9 percent of the vote to her 26.2 percent.
