Trump’s former campaign manager to serve his prison time in Cumberland

March 8th, 2019 by WCBC Radio

Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort has been sentenced to 47 months in federal prison for tax and bank fraud, a significantly shorter sentence than prosecutors had sought.  He will serve his time at Cumberland’s Federal Correctional Facility at Mexico Farms. U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis handed down the sentence in federal court in Virginia saying that Manafort committed "undeniably serious" crimes and expressed surprise that he did not "express regret for engaging in wrongful conduct."  The Virginia sentence includes three years of supervised release after his prison term. Manafort must also pay $24 million in restitution and a $50,000 fine. He will receive credit for time served and be held in the FCI  facility in Cumberland. An attorney from special counsel Robert Mueller's office told the court Manafort "failed to accept responsibility and is not remorseful." In recent weeks Manafort's legal team had requested a "significantly" lower sentence than the length recommended by prosecutors.

Some other notables who have served prison time at the Cumberland facility include: Jack Abramoff;  Web Hubbell;  Cameron Douglas (son of Hollywood legend Michael Douglas); and former heavyweight boxing champion Riddick Bowe.

Leave some extra room. He can share a cell with his former employer.

    > Better still, let his former employer serve time at WCI in Cresaptown. Maybe he can find a “friend” there.

Thank God it’s not the Clintons, Obama & all their cronies cuz they’d have to build a Whole new prison 2 hold them all & as bad as MD is 4 passing laws quickly, they’d dump them all here after finishing their sentences instead & always craving power, they’d begin dabbling here just to get their feet wet and back in the game.
