Twas The Week Before Christmas

December 20th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

With Christmas following on Friday this week, the hours that government offices will be open will be affected.

Earlier this week, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan designated Christmas Eve as a state holiday, giving those workers a four day weekend. Allegany County Offices will be closed on this Friday and next to observe the holiday.

Due to COVID-19, Allegany County Transit has suspended operation of fixed route bus service, and is only providing transportation to and from medical appointments.

That said, Alltrans will not operate on Thursday and Friday of this week due to the Christmas holiday, and the Job Access Reverse Communite won't operate, either.
