While UMPC Western Maryland has not gotten any of the Pfizer vaccine, the medical system did receive a shipment at it's Pittsburgh headquarters and held a media event late yesterday morning.

Locally, UPMC Western Maryland sources tell us that they are unsure of when the Mederna vaccine will arrive. Acting Maryland Health Secretary Dennis Shrader told the delegation in a recent letter that UMPC Western Maryland would receive 500 doses of Mederna, while Garrett Regional Medical Center would receive 100.
