Valentine Responds to Accusations on Campaign Finance

After being questioned by a constituent during last week’s public meeting,  Allegany County Commissioner Bill Valentine responded to the accusations Tuesday.  Valentine, a candidate for re-election, was questioned during Thursday’s public meeting about his campaign finance information, Ed Taylor, during the constituents comment portion of the meeting, pointed to what he said appear to be discrepancies in Valentine’s finance reports- most notably that zero expenses are shown. Appearing on WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show” Valentine said he looked into the matter and it turned out to have been a simple error by this treasurer which has since been corrected. He said he believes politics may have been behind Taylor’s public accusations…

    Of course it’s politics! Just like when you pretend to represent the county every time you speak about the city bridges and other things. It’s time to vote valentine out!
