Wagoner Wins Despite Re-entering Race

April 4th, 2012 by WCBC Radio

The Cumberland City Council race lived up to expectations for drama Tuesday night as two of the four winners were unsure at various times whether or not they should be in the race at all.  Dave Caporale easily won first place and John Cline finished second.  The third place finisher was Nicole Wagoner, who announced in February that she was dropping out of the race, only to return over the weekend.  Wagoner scoffed at the idea that returning to the race was part of a grand plan to circumvent the vetting process.

First of all congratulations to the winners of yesterday’s election, but last night while the commentators were waiting for the votes to start coming in for city counsel, the conversation turned to Nicole Wagoner and how a pretty girl can get votes. How inapproriate, tacky, disrespectful and chauvanistic! I’m sure she’s a very pretty girl but WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH BEING ON CITY COUNSEL??? Dave Caporale won too, gee, was it because he’s handsome, or just maybe he has something to offer Cumberland. Get with the times and if you HAVE to be so ignorant as to make remarks that degrade women, please turn your mikes off first. Then you can all act like good old boy construction workers standing on the corner.
