When asked about 14 Covid-19 cases coming from one church, DHHR Secretary Bill Crouch said that he didn’t have the specifics in the case. On 5-28 it was reported that the investigations on the new cases had been completed.
How is it that the Secretary has no specifics?
Is he lying? Is he stupid? Did he think the subject wouldn’t come up?
This lack of information is just as dangerous to people as coughing on somebody.

This isn’t an individual instance; it’s an outbreak. Why is it that neither the DHHR Secretary or the Hampshire county health department administrator will disclose the name of the church or its location? This is a place-based outbreak that can (and has?) affected other community members not in the congregation. Would they withhold this gegraphic information for any other type of establishment, such as a restaurant or store that’s identified as an outbreak center? I heard a radio interview with the county administrator who seemed to giggle when saying that in word gets out quickly in gossiping WV locales. Seems to me it’s the local and state health agencies that should serve this communication role…
