Attorney General Working on Google Settlement

December 11th, 2025 by WCBC Radio

Attorney General Anthony Brown has worked with other state attorney generals on a $700 million settlement agreement with Google for anticompetitive practices. Google was found to be overcharging for services within its Google Play Store.  If approved by the court next April, the settlement fund will automatically reimburse the majority of consumers who made purchases on the Google Play Store between August 2016 and September 2023.
