The secession of Maryland’s three westernmost counties still remains a topic years after it was first explored by the Western Maryland delegation.  Now the Baltimore Sun is polling its readers on whether the state should allow the three westernmost counties to secede and join West Virginia.  The issue returned recently when a West Virginia delegate suggested the move.
