Cumberland City Police Chief Jim Pyles reported to WCBC this afternoon that a barricade situation in North End had been resolved…

"The Cumberland Police Department responded to a barricade situation in the 800 Block of Shriver Avenue.  The men and women of the Cumberland Police Department did an amazing job surrounding the residents until our search team arrived.  We were assisted by the Allegany County Sheriff's Office.  After negotiations with our negotiating team, they were able to successfully negotiate having the individual coming out of the residents and the individual was arrested without incident."
