Advanced Diagnostic Radiology offers Cardiac Calcium Scoring, a test that reveals the amount of calcified plaque in the heart that could lead to a heart attack. The test does not require a referral, but patients do need to be seeing a physician. Radiologist Dr. J Kim, president ADR, says the non-invasive scan is for those with a family history of heart disease or other issues and want to rule out possible cardiac disease…
“Cardiac Calcium Score is for a-symptomatic patients, patients who have no symptoms but are at high-risk for cardiac disease because of family history or because of all the underlying risk factors: high lipedema or high blood pressure, diabetics, others. Those are the ideal patients for Cardiac Calcium Scoring.”
