On December 16, 2017 at approximately 6:01 PM the Cumberland Police responded to a residence in Prospect Square for a burglary complaint. When police arrived they met with the adult female victim who told police the male suspect, later identified as David Allen George, Jr., was still inside the residence. Police entered the residence and located George in the kitchen area. He was placed under arrest without incident and charged with 4th Degree Burglary, Disorderly Conduct, and Disturbing the Peace. He was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was held without bond. He was taken to the Allegany County Detention Center to await his next appearance in District Court.
