Criminal Citation Issued
On May 17, 2024, an Officer of the Cumberland Police Department conducted a traffic stop after observing a traffic violation. The Officer then made contact with the driver and passenger. Based on their conversations the Officer requested a Cumberland Police Department K9 Officer and his partner to respond. The Officer then utilized his K9 to conducted a free air sniff of the exterior of the vehicle which resulted in a Positive alert. Officers then conducted a search of the vehicle and located suspected Psilocybin. Psilocybin is a Schedule I CDS. Malcolm admitted to having the CDS and was issued a citation and released.
Arrest: Raquel Malcolm, age 27, Cumberland Maryland.
Charge: Criminal Citation possession of CDS.
Adult Arrest
On May 17, 2024, Officers of the Cumberland Police Department were dispatched to a Cecil Street residence for an Assault in Progress. Upon arrival, Officers were met by a female that was very irate. The female would only yell and scream at the Officers. The female was identified as Joslyn Jeree Allen. Allen ordered the Officers to go to the house and lock “him” up. As Officers attempted to conduct their investigation, Allen continued to act in an erratic manner. This behavior was preventing the Officers from conducting their investigation. Allen was told to return to her vehicle so another Officer could speak with her. Officers attempted to obtain Allens side of the story but she was uncooperative. Through the investigation it was determined that Joslyn Allen was the primary aggressor in the assault. She was transported to the Allegany Country Detention Center.
Arrest: Joslyn Jeree Allen, age 36, Cumberland Maryland.
