Interim Executive Director Melissa Clark of AHEC West has been selected for the 2026-26 cohort of the Appalachian Regional Commission’s Leadership Institute. Clark is one of just 40 participants chosen from across the 13-state Appalachian region. The Institute provides immersive training to equip leaders with tools to leverage economic development for positive change. Clark has participated in two sessions so far in Kentucky and Georgia.
