While waiting on a firm answer from FEMA about funds for flood relief, citizens in the Georges Creek area continue to rebuild and restore properties damages by water. For some, insurance will provide coverage, but for those needing other help, progress can be slow and frustrating. “There’s agencies out and about trying to help some of the locals, but there’s such a large amount of questions and questionnaires on these papers. And it’s almost like a discouraging factor for some of the elderly people. If they don’t have someone to help them do this, it becomes very frustrating to them.”
