Maryland State Comptroller Brooke Lierman is applauding her staff for the job they have done with the 2023 tax season. Lierman said that employees have opened thousands and thousands of envelopes from mail-in filers. To date, the state has processed 2.5 million returns and have sent out just under $2 billion in tax refunds.
