Governor Wes Moore and AFSCME missed a deadline this week to reach a contract agreement. AFSCME is the largest union in state government and rejected the governor’s proposal, which they say included raises that did not align with the rate of inflation. Several other employee unions have already accepted new contract offers from the state of Maryland.
