A packed house is expected Thursday evening at the Allegany County Fairgrounds for a special community meeting on Bel Air’s water rates issue.  The 5pm meeting has been touted as the “Force of Four,” bringing together residents, county, state, and federal officials to discuss continuing high water rates. The current provider, Maryland Water Service, is set to sell the system to American Water. Citizens are seeking relief from water rates that are many times higher than Allegany County and Cumberland water customers.
