CPD Investigating Theft And Make Domestic Assault Arrest

Tuesday, December 12th, 2017 Theft On 12/12/17 Officers with the Cumberland City Police Dept responded to Roses Plaza located on Queen City Dr in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival Officers contacted the plaza manager who advised that sometime overnight person(s) unknown removed numerous Christmas Trees that were for sale to the public. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cumberland Police Dept at 301-777-1600.

 

Domestic Assault

On 12/12/17 at 3:58pm Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to a residence located in the 100blk of Bedford St for a report of a domestic assault. Upon arrival Officers contacted the victim who advised that an argument ensued which turned physical. Officers observed minor injuries consistent with the victim’s account of the incident which did not require medical attention. As a result Officers placed 45 year old Samuel Crock under arrest and transported him to Police Headquarters where he was processed and charged with one count of second degree assault. Crock was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where he was held on a $7,500 bail pending his next court appearance.
