On Sunday, November 30th, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department served a Criminal Summons on Shanice Miller, 32, of Cumberland, MD. The summons was issued in reference to an incident that occurred on November 22nd, 2025 at a business in the 400 Block of Virginia Avenue. On that date, it is alleged that Miller concealed several items inside a bag then left the business without paying for them. The officer later reviewed security footage positively identifying Miller. An application for charges was subsequently filed with the Allegany County District Court, which then issued the criminal summons.  Miller signed for her copy of the summons, and she was released pending trial.
