A decision by Maryland's Board of Public Works to allocate $15 million in state funding to nonprofit organizations in Baltimore has sparked debate among lawmakers. Funding is intended to combat violence and develop housing in the city with $2 million for Baltimore's Downtown Partnership, $6.1 million for 'We Our Us', $3 million for 'Rebuild Metro', and nearly $9.5 million for other nonprofits in the city of Baltimore.
