CSX Transportation is continuing its investigation into a several car derailment in the Cumberland Yard, that could be seen from Industrial Boulevard and White Oaks Plaza.
CSX issued the following statement to WCBC News today:
"On Sunday afternoon, a CSX train derailed 47 railcars within Cumberland Yard. There were no injuries and no leaks or spills of any freight. No hazardous materials were involved. All railcars have been moved and the site restored. The cause of the incident remains under investigation."
