On Monday, Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept were conducting an investigation at a residence located in the 600blk of Bedford St. While conducting the investigation 27 year old Jasmond Metheny began interfering with Officers and began yelling and screaming at them. After several warnings Metheny was placed under arrest. While awaiting transport, Metheny continued to yell and scream at Officers and began resisting arrest. Metheny was transported to Police Headquarters where he was processed and charged with Obstructing, Resist Arrest, Disorderly, Disturbing the Peace, and Second Degree Assault. Metheny was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where he was held without bail pending his next court appearance.
