Cumberland Police Arrest Three At ACM Game

On Saturday December 3, 2016, at 3:03 pm, Cumberland City Police Officers responded to a sporting event at Allegany College of Maryland on Willowbrook Road for a reported disturbance involving three unruly individuals.

They were identified as Jasmine Ukaegbu, age 20, Tatyana Furr, age 20 and Janai Bailey, age 20. As a result of the investigation, all three individual were asked to leave the event but refused to do so as they argued and failed to comply with the officer’s demands. As a result, Ukaegbu and Furr were placed under arrest.

As officers attempted to arrest Bailey, she punched one of the officers in the face. Bailey was handcuffed without further incident. All three were transported to the Cumberland City Police Department where they were processed and served. They were transported to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for a bond hearing. Bailey and Furr were held on temporary commitments at the Allegany County Detention Center. Ukaegbu was released on her personal recognizance.

CHARGES: Resisting Arrest (2 counts), Obstructing/Hindering, Disorderly Conduct.

Tatyana Furr, age 20. Cumberland, Maryland.

CHARGES: Disturbing the Peace, Obstructing/Hindering, Fail to Obey.

Janai Bailey, age 19. Cumberland, Maryland.

CHARGES: Disorderly Conduct, Obstructing/Hindering, Resisting Arrest, Fail to Obey, Assault 2nd Degree.
