On Tuesday, October 17th, 2017 the Cumberland Police arrested Heather Rae Wilt, 34 years old of Cumberland, MD. An officer was on patrol when he observed Wilt operating a vehicle on Virginia Ave. He was able to recognize Wilt and knew her to have an active arrest warrant. The officer stopped the vehicle and arrested Wilt. The warrant was for Failure to Appear for a court date. Wilt was taken before the District Court Commissioner and is currently being held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

On Tuesday, October 17th, 2017 the Cumberland Police arrested Antoine Desmond Askins, 52 years old of Cumberland MD, on an arrest warrant. The warrant was a result of a theft investigation from August, 2017 that occurred on Kelly Road. Askins is alleged to have stolen several items, including a credit card. It was later learned that the card was used at a local business and Askins was identified as the suspect. He was charged with Theft less Than $100, Credit Card Theft, Use of Stolen Credit Card Less than $100, and Unauthorized Use or Disclosure of a Credit Card. He was taken before the District Court Commissioner and released on his Personal Recognizance.

On Tuesday, October 17th, 2017, the Cumberland Police arrested Anthony Edward Horn Jr, 19 years old of Cumberland, MD on an arrest warrant. Horn was charged with Failure to Appear for a court date. The original charge was trespassing. Horn was taken before the District Court Commissioner and is currently being held on $500 bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
