Decatur Street Burglary Arrest

On Sunday, September 14, 2025 at approximately 2:16 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the first block of Decatur Street for a breaking and entering complaint.  Officers arrived on scene and contacted the alleged victim who reported that the male suspect had kicked in her door, causing damage.  She stated that he also knocked over a city trash can and fled the scene.  The suspect, Curtis Jones, was located on Baltimore Avenue and placed under arrest.  He was transported to Central Booking to await a bond hearing.  He was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
