Disturbance Complaint Leads to CDS Arrest

On July 17, 2019, the Cumberland Police responded to Mullen Street for a disturbance.  When officers arrived they located Kara Miller, age 32, of Cumberland, Maryland creating a disturbance in the front yard of the residence. Upon contacting Miller it was discovered that she was in possession of controlled dangerous substance (CDS) paraphernalia.  Subsequently, Miller was placed under arrest.  Upon conducting a search incident to arrest, officers located other CDS on her person.  Miller was charged with possession of CDS paraphernalia and possession of CDS not marijuana.  She was later taken for a bond hearing and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on $1500 bond.
