More West Virginia schools could soon be forced to cut school nurses, meal programs, and other services with the passage of the Trump administration’s budget bill. More than 235,000 of the state’s children are expected to be impacted, according to Tamaya Browser with the West Virginia Center on Budget and policy. She says school districts already struggling to maintain will suffer funding losses…
“The burden of this loss of funding is really going to be felt by our rural school districts as well as our districts that serve larger shares of students from low-income families and students with disabilities, just due to how federal funding is distributed.”
