A caller to WCBC recently brought into question whether Allegany County Sheriff’s Deputy and FOP Lodge President Christopher Hill was permitted in law enforcement. The caller indicated that Hill had been fired from the Cumberland Police Department a number of years ago. WCBC checked with sources and determined that Hill was not fired from Cumberland city police and has held law enforcement positions elsewhere in Maryland. Law enforcement officers decertified by the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commission cannot hold a law enforcement position.
