National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Watch from late Thursday night through Friday morning. Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 31 is possible in Maryland, Central and Eastern Allegany County, and in West Virginia, Eastern Mineral, Hampshire, and Hardy Counties from late Thursday night through Friday morning. Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
