Allegany County is working the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development on a program to stabilize historic structures on Frostburg’s Main Street. The county has received a grant allowing Frostburg to begin selecting projects, according to Economic Development Specialist Adam Strott…
“Frostburg will play a more active role in identifying those projects that require stabilization, and working also with Frostburg First in identifying those building owners who might have tenants or looking at tenants who would be interested working to redevelop their building.”
Commissioner Bill Atkinson says the program is a good way to get state money to invest in our communities…
“Frostburg has been working hard to revitalize some of the older buildings that have been neglected over the years and I think this is a great start in moving that forward.”
