The Garrett County Commissioners will soon vote on lowering their property tax rate, based on a stronger revenue outlook. The proposed rate reduction from $1.056 to $1.02 per $100 of assessed value would bring the county’s tax structure more in line with current economic conditions, according to a Garrett County Government news release.  The county also held the line on its income tax rate of 2.65%.
