Gas Prices Down From October 2024

October 21st, 2025 by WCBC Radio

The national average for a gallon of regular gasoline is flirting with the 3-dollar mark for the first time in four years. Maryland’s average dipped to $3.00 a gallon over the weekend for the first time since June.  Last October, Maryland’s average was $3.16 a gallon. Factors behind the price drop, according to AAA Maryland, include falling crude prices, lower gasoline demand, and cheaper winter-blend gasoline at the pump.  A calmer tropic storm season has also helped the impact on pricing.
