On Thursday, May 15, 2025, Officers of the Cumberland Police Department were on patrol in the area of Henderson Avenue when they observed a vehicle traveling above the posted speed limit. Contact was made with the operator, Joshua Beckner, and the passenger, Alexis Nixon. A K9 officer responded to the scene and conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle, which resulted in a positive result. The vehicle was searched, and controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia was located. Both Beckner and Nixon were placed under arrest. Beckner and Nixon were issued criminal citations for CDS paraphernalia possession and released pending their trial at the District Court.

ARRESTED:  Alexis Susan Marie Nixon    AGE: 27            Cumberland, Maryland
CHARGE:  CDS Paraphernalia Possession.
