Delegate Josh Holstein of Boone County, was elected to be the West Virginia Republican Party’s new chairman. He replaces Matt Herridge who stepped down to focus on his role as state commerce secretary. At 23, Holstein is the youngest ever to lead the party. He told reporters that youth is bringing new energy to state politics…

   

“Young folks are tired of the establishment. They’re tired of the same old same old and they want to take action. I believe on both sides of the aisle we have an invigorated base of young folks and that’s contributing to our wins up and down the ballot here in West Virginia amongst the Republican Party.”
