In-Custody Deaths May Be Re-examined

An audit of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Maryland has resulted in an executive order from Governor Moore to look at cases involving in-custody deaths and possibly re-open those cases. More than half of cases reviewed by independent examiners disagreed with cause of death and found deficiencies in autopsy documentation.  The Governor said Maryland should set the example for public safety…
