Health insurance costs across the country may see a dramatic increase under the current spending bill being debated on Capitol Hill.  A recent online conversation with Maryland Senators Chris Van Hollen and Angela Alsobrooks along with Maryland Healthcare for All President Vince DeMarco attempted to shed light on changes to Medicaid as well as healthcare exchanges.  DeMarco said the spending bill cuts coverage and increases costs….

“Everybody would be hurt. Not just the people on Medicaid but all of us would see our premiums go up. In fact, because of this bad proposal, Maryland insurers have proposed a 17% increase in their premiums for all of us.”
